Dr. Sandwich: how we measured 145 orders in 6 weeks
Eduard Albu

Someone promises you more online orders and shows you a big number. They don't tell you where the number comes from, which period it covers or what things looked like before. Without that, you can't check that it's true and you can't know whether it applies to you.
A number without a method isn't proof, it's an advert. And when you ask for two quotes, each comes with its own figures, over different periods, and you can't put them side by side. This post shows you what we counted at Dr. Sandwich, where the figures came from and what they don't prove. At the end I compare three ways to sell online, fairly: a delivery platform, an agency and SiteCare.
What we counted at Dr. Sandwich
Between 20 August and 30 September 2026, which is 6 weeks, Dr. Sandwich received 145 orders completed through the site. They brought in 14,858 lei in revenue from orders. Both figures cover the same period.
What came before matters too. At this location, orders came only by phone. That is why the online orders are new revenue, not orders moved from another online channel.
It isn't an estimate. These are the figures from the monthly SiteCare report, copied as they are.
Where the figures come from
The figures come from the monthly SiteCare report for Dr. Sandwich, September 2026. The report is built on three sources:
- Google Search Console, where you see the searches that bring people to the site
- Google Analytics, where you see what people do once they arrive
- the order system, where the orders are recorded
Source: SiteCare monthly report for Dr. Sandwich, September 2026 (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, order system).
On the home page you see the same figures, with the same source.
What to ask anyone who shows you a result
Ask anyone who shows you figures the same questions, me included:
- Which period do they cover? A result without a start and an end date can't be checked.
- Which sources do they come from? A report with named sources can be rebuilt, a screenshot can't.
- What came before? Without the starting point, you don't know whether the orders are new or just moved from another channel.
- Who measured? Someone selling you something isn't a neutral witness, so ask for the sources, not just the total.
For Dr. Sandwich, the answers are in the sections above. Where the report doesn't answer, I'd rather say it doesn't than fill the gap myself.
What the figures do not show
The figures show one restaurant, one location and 6 weeks. They are not a promise for your restaurant. Another place can do better or worse, depending on its menu, its area and how easy it is to order from it.
Six weeks show a good start, not how a whole year goes. Nor do they say what Dr. Sandwich would have done with another provider, or without a website.
Your safety net is the guarantee for Start and Pro: if orders through the site stay under 1,000 lei in a month, that month is free.
Delivery platform, agency or SiteCare
You have three ways to sell online. I compare them on the same three points: what you pay, who owns the customer, what you get.
The delivery platform is the usual road.
- What you pay: there is no setup fee, but the platform keeps part of every order.
- Who owns the customer: the platform's. It holds the data and the relationship with them.
- What you get: a shopfront inside an app that you share with other restaurants.
The agency is the expensive option.
- What you pay: a website built once, paid upfront. Hosting, changes and ordering are usually billed or bought separately.
- Who owns the customer: yours, if the site really takes orders. Ask beforehand whether it does.
- What you get: a custom-made website, after a stretch of work.
SiteCare is the middle ground.
- What you pay: 199 lei a month for Start or 349 lei a month for Pro. There is no setup fee and no SiteCare commission. On card payments, only the Stripe fee remains.
- Who owns the customer: yours. Orders arrive on your website, on your domain.
- What you get: a website with online ordering, live in 48 hours, with hosting, domain, SEO and maintenance included.
You don't have to pick just one. You can keep the delivery platforms running in parallel. On orders that come directly through your site, you pay no SiteCare commission.
One thing to know up front: the subscription is paid every month, while a platform asks for money only when an order arrives. That is why the guarantee above matters.
